Draining over 10,000 square miles, the Savannah River is one of South Carolina's largest rivers, hundreds of feet wide in places. Trees that line the banks of this section of the river include moss festooned cypress, river-birch and a variety of different oak species. This part of the river is good for fishing too. There are several different species of fish, including largemouth bass, striped bass, bream and catfish.
